Adrian O’Malley is a stroke survivor (2006) and Executive Committee Member and Consumer Engagement Co-Chair of the Stroke Trials Centre for Research Excellence, and Board Member of Health Consumers NSW (2024-Present). He serves as Chief, or Associate, Investigator on multiple national research projects including Asset Stroke and iThrive, and is a Strategic Advisor to the Stroke Foundation (2007-Present).

Adrian was a founding member of the Stroke Foundation Consumer Council (2010-2016) and co-authored national training modules for Consumer Engagement in stroke research. He is a key contributor to the world-first Australian Living Evidence Collaboration (ALEC) and has been a keynote speaker at the National Disability Summit 2022 and Stroke Society of Australasia Annual Scientific Meetings.
